Learning About Natural Pest Control

Hello. My name is Petunia. Welcome. I would like to share my experience with natural pest control tactics with you through this site. I am deathly afraid of all insects that crawl and fly. When an insect enters my living space, I have to call in reinforcements to help me remove the invader. I do not believe in using chemicals when natural substances can do the job, however. Therefore, I started to become adept at using natural pest control tactics to keep pests from entering my home in the first place. I hope you can use the information on my site to keep your home pest free. Thanks.

Roach Bait May Be The Answer

If your home has been invaded by cockroaches, you are probably searching for any and every means by which you will be able to get pest control help. Although some of the quick fixes on the market may make them disappear for short periods of time, you need to use something that is going work over a period of time. Instead of spraying or trapping your roaches, you may want to try feeding them cockroach bait. There are advantages of using this over some of the other over the counter treatments.

Exactly What Is Roach Bait?

Roaches will eat almost anything and everything, including the dead bodies and excrement of other roaches. This makes food a good avenue by which to administer poisonous chemicals. Roach baits are just that: a mixture of chemicals designed to be eaten as food by the roaches. Once they are eaten, the roach returns to the nest excreting the chemical, as well as tracking it back into the nest on its feet.

Baits are produced by several different manufacturers and come in several different forms. They can be found in gels, liquids, and solids. All types of these come ready to use. All you have to do is choose the location.

What Are The Advantages Of Roach Bait?

Safety – Unlike messy chemicals that have to be avoided once they have been applied, roach bait is fully contained. When you use roach bait you, or your family, will not have any direct contact with the chemicals that are contained within the bait. Even if the bait is accessed, it has a very low toxicity to humans. This system makes it safe to use around pets and children.

Lack of residue and odor – Chemical sprays can leave behind a lot of airborne residue and odor. This is why it is not advised for you to be in the area being sprayed for a specified period of time following the application and it is not advised for anyone with respiratory issues.

With roach bait, this is not a worry. The bait does not leave behind any residue nor does it possess an odor. This not only allows you and your family to be in the area where it has been applied, but you can be in the area while it is being applied. It is safe to be used around those with respiratory problems.

Long lasting – The baits are designed to be placed in out of the way places and to work over an extended period of time. Once you put them out, you can forget about them. They will work much longer than sprays or some of the other methods. Refer to your manufacturer's instructions as to how often they need to be replaced.

Unfortunately, roach bait only works on roaches. If your home is infested with any other types of bugs, it is not likely that they will be affected by this type of bait. Also, like any other pest control product, nothing your purchase at a store yourself will work as well as those that can be applied by a pest control company. They possess much stronger chemicals and better treatment methods to rid homes and businesses of all sorts of pests, and the average person does not have the proper experience to use such chemicals.

If you have a severe infestation, or you feel your efforts are not working, give a pest control company a call. They will be glad to come out and evaluate your buggy situation and take the necessary steps needed in order to help you make your home roach free.
